Chinabuses

Posted on August 5, 2010 in Automobiles:

New technology and ideas in China have new public transportation, buses will no longer congest traffic or annoy drivers who are behind it. It will simply go over cars, unfortunately trucks are not able to go under this bus, so new driving rules will be in tow but it's interesting to see how this pans out. -->

Huge Buses That Can DRIVE OVER Cars

Buses … below … other cars: the future of China

Shenzhen Future Huashi Parking Equipment Company wants to build a particular bus, much higher than traditional ones, under which cars can move.

According to China Hush,  the 6-meter-wide 3D Express Coach will be powered by a combination of electricity and solar energy, and will be able to travel up to 60 kilometers per hour carrying some 1200 to 1400 passengers.

Committee on Ways and Means Announces Hearing on China’s Exchange Rate Policy

Ways and Means Chairman Sander M. Levin today announced a full committee hearing to consider whether China’s June announcement to allow exchange rate flexibility has led to material appreciation of the renminbi (RMB).  In addition, the Committee will hear testimony as to whether Congress or the Administration should take action to address China’s unfair currency policy and its impact on U.S. businesses and workers.  The hearing will take place on Wednesday, September 15, 2010, in the main Committee hearing room, 1100 Longworth House Office Building, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

“There is no real question that China’s deliberately undervalued exchange rate is unfair, contributes to global trade imbalances, and costs the United States jobs and economic growth, particularly in the manufacturing sector,” said Chairman Levin.  “We must ensure that China’s rhetoric translates into results that are meaningful and that the international trading system ensures fair rules of competition.”

Geografia De China

O “lado” socialista do Mundo Bipolar?

Us Trade Deficit With China 2004

If you have an appreciation for historic irony, you'll love this: Gazprom, our favorite Russian energy monopoly and cornerstone of our strategic portfolio, just announce a major shift in strategy concerning its cooperation with the Germans. Gazprom, which up until recently was planning to take over entire municipal power grids and even buy into German energy giant RWE to get at the coveted German retail consumer, has put all future investments in Germany on ice.

The reason given by the proponents of the Red state monopoly: The Russians are afraid the "conservative," market-oriented German government would end up confiscating Gazprom's investments. Germany is debating "unbundling" the existing structure of the energy industry, aiming at improvement of competition and prices.
The German head of Gazprom Germania went so far as declaring that "the obsession to regulate is leading to an increased planned economy."

Who says we Germans don't have a sense of humor? That's like Ted Kennedy complaining that U.S. inheritance taxes are driving the mega-rich to establish offshore trusts in Fiji!

Life's little ironies

But you don't have to look for ironies in the power politics of the European energy industry. Open up your newspaper or read your e-letter subscriptions and you'll see what I mean:

As the talking bears are telling you to sell your U.S. equities and head for the hills while the dollar declines against the euro and U.S. re...

Spinning

Second half of 2010 to look good: New Heli

In the field of spinning, Hangzhou New Heli Textile Machinery

(杭州新合力) launched an upgraded version, KV2008 compound twisting machine with broken-end stop system following the KV2005. Thread-making companies such as Amann and Huamei have placed orders for this twisting machine, said Shan Yinfu (單銀甫), General Manager.

The company specializes in the research and production of textile machines for twisting yarns of natural, artificial and synthetic continuous filament.

In particular, technical yarns common in international markets such as fishing twines are now produced and used in China. The new KV2008A was designed to suit the latest market changes and thus has attracted attention from local thread-making companies and even those in Taiwan, according to Mr Shan.

The new machine has been recently available, leading to a 30% increase in sales during the first half of this year. Mr Shan estimated the global textile industry to rise from the trough and regain its momentum in the second half of 2010. He believes the Chinese textile industry will continue a growing trend despite the risk of more and more expensive raw materials.
